I recently got this card, but debating if I should keep him in my deck. He costs 3 mana, stats are a pretty average 8/11, and his special gives all your minions +1 health, then does 1 dmg to all non-humans on the board. Not bad, but feels a bit underpowered for an epic to me.

Thoughts?

Hi surreallogic , depends what deck you have but in general there is no many first turn 3 mana minions which are not epic bosses which can survive 1 turn.

and in fact only Swiftblade with shatterblast can kill him if i am correct. (maybe Eristar with 2 Shaterblast but it happens seldom)

hi surreallogic, Hitmus is right, Garik can survive a turn and he is very good minion in a rush deck, especially using Elf Warrior Lord Galaniel

Sample Rush Deck would be.

4x Scarlett
4x Steeds
4x Garik
2x Arcane Blade Dancer
2x Orkreds
4x Eristar Wolves
2x Insanes
2x Conquests

2x Smites
2x Tempests
4x Shatterblasts

= 32 Solid Hitter Deck (xerkspking deck choice)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I used him to replace a Soulsnatcher (my hero is a Ranger), so it's probably an upgrade over that (although the 2 unblockable damage was nice), but I'm torn between Garik (only have one of him) and Seraphina (have two of her). I'm going with one of each for now.

Not sure what type of deck I have. Pretty mixed - as fast and sharp as I can make it until I get better cards. I mostly just took the original deck and replaced like-for-like when I would find an upgrade, e.g. replaced 1-mana common Swamp Alligator with slightly better 1-mana uncommon Stone-Wing Raid, etc., then added a couple 5 and 6 cost rares/epics to taste.

The nice thing about Garik is that he gives one hp to your minions and then takes it away, so he doesn't damage your guys, which is why when I first got him, I didn't use him unless he was in my human deck. When I noticed that he didn't harm my minions, I realized that he us useful in doing 1 damage to all my enemies minions as long as they are not human.
